Calendar Bump Support
Calendar Bump helps you move displaced commitments to Bumped and return them to your schedule when you are ready.
For help, email hello@theclarityboard.com. We aim to respond within three business days.
Getting started
- Install Calendar Bump from the Google Workspace Marketplace.
- Open Google Calendar.
- Select the Calendar Bump icon in the right-side panel. If the panel is hidden, select the arrow at the bottom-right of Google Calendar to show it.
- Select Create calendars. Calendar Bump creates two calendars: Calendar and Bumped.
- Add events to Calendar.
- Use Check for changes now for an immediate check, or connect automatic sync for background monitoring.
If the calendars do not appear
- Refresh Google Calendar.
- Confirm that you are signed in to the same Google Account used to install Calendar Bump.
- Open the Calendar Bump side panel again.
- Confirm that Calendar and Bumped have not been hidden or deleted.
- If the app still shows Create calendars, select it once and wait for the confirmation before refreshing.
Avoid selecting Create calendars repeatedly while Google Calendar is still refreshing, because calendar-list updates can take a moment to appear.
If an overlap is not processed
- Confirm that both events are in the app's Calendar calendar.
- Confirm that the events overlap in time rather than merely appearing in the same hour.
- Use Check for changes now for an immediate check.
- If you expect automatic monitoring, confirm that the side panel says automatic sync is connected.
- Recurring events are not processed in the initial release.
When a supported moved event overlaps an existing event, the newly moved event should remain in its selected time and the existing event should move to Bumped.
If automatic sync does not connect
- Select Connect automatic sync and use the same Google Account that installed Calendar Bump.
- Review and approve the requested permissions.
- When the connection page confirms that Calendar Bump is connected, close that tab and return to Google Calendar.
- Reopen or refresh the side panel. The connection button should be replaced by the connected status.
- If the status does not update, close and reopen Google Calendar before trying again.
Reassign a Bumped event
- Open Calendar Bump in the Google Calendar side panel.
- Find the event under Bumped.
- Choose a new date and time.
- Select Assign time.
The event moves from Bumped back to Calendar at the selected time.
Disconnect and delete automatic-sync data
- Open Calendar Bump in the Google Calendar side panel.
- Select Delete automatic sync data.
- Confirm Delete now.
This permanently deletes Calendar Bump's server-side connection record, encrypted authorization credentials, notification-channel details, and server-side Bumped list. It does not delete your Google calendars or events.
You can separately:
- Revoke Calendar Bump's access in your Google Account permissions.
- Uninstall Calendar Bump from the Google Workspace Marketplace.
- Delete the Calendar and Bumped calendars from Google Calendar.
For help with a complete deletion request, email hello@theclarityboard.com from the Google Account connected to Calendar Bump.
